How to email me

Note: our department email uses grey-listing, so as long as your mailserver will re-send the email after the first time you ever emailed me, it will arrive. Another trick it to just send it twice, separated by a minute or so.

Sad, but true:
Until we have firm laws in place, I've taken the law in my own hand, and since July 4, 1997 (rebel day!) I am using a program that filters my incoming email, mostly to get rid of junk email (a.k.a. SPAM). It is thus possible that I will be delayed in responding to some email sent to me, depending on your content :-) I like personal and professional mail, or even commercial mail I have requested, but all bulk, block and spam email is junked or reviewed when I feel like cleaning up.

If for some reason your mail is bounced because you are not on my white-list, here's a way to request your email to be whitelisted:

click here to white-list my email
or put the text [friend] first to your subject line if you use any form of Outlook and want to bypass my filters.

In particular, my list of blacklisted domains is now available for any search engine.

If you want to read more on why and how I did it, here is a sample reading list:

By US Code Title 47, Sec.227(a)(2)(B), a computer/modem/printer meets the definition of a telephone fax machine. By Sec.227(b)(1)(C), it is unlawful to send any unsolicited advertisement to such equipment. By Sec.227(b)(3)(C), a violation of the aforementioned Section is punishable by action to recover actual monetary loss, or $500, whichever is greater, for each violation.
