$\bullet$ The dreaded dynamic object loader has been made to work on the DEC Alpha (OSF1 V3.2) and SGI (IRIS 5.2) using a new system utility ldso. This has increased the portability, but not taken away the fundamental difficulty in installing NEMO on a new operating system.
