A python interface to ds9 is now also available, called pyds9.

mirds9 is a simple shell script that allows you to view miriad images and cubes within ds9. You will have to launch ds9 first. Typing the command mirds9 will remind you to the arguments.

Typical usage:

  ds9 &
  mirds9 n6530.cmap

will launch this map/cube into ds9. If a cube was found, a slider will appear as well with allows you to slide through the different planes of the cube.

A python interface to ds9 is now also available, called pyds9.
