Problems/Solutions

  • the new build system (where you see $MIR/build_new/bin instead of $MIR/bin/...) cannot be relocated. You need to manually edit the automiriad.csh file in $MIR. These are the diffs: (and you need to replace your own $MIR, the rest is derived):
% diff automiriad.csh automiriad.csh.old
15c15
< # source "/home/teuben/miriad/redo/miriad/build_new/lib/pgplot-miriad-remix/pgplot-config.csh"
---
> source "/home/teuben/miriad/redo/miriad/build_new/lib/pgplot-miriad-remix/pgplot-config.csh"

< setenv MIR "/home/moi/miriad"
---
> setenv MIR "/home/teuben/miriad/redo/miriad"

< setenv MIRBIN "$MIR/build_new/bin"
< setenv MIRLIB "$MIR/build_new/lib"
< setenv MIRINC "$MIR/build_new/include/miriad-f"
< setenv MIRDOC "$MIR/build_new/share/miriad/doc"
---
> setenv MIRBIN "/home/teuben/miriad/redo/miriad/build_new/bin"
> setenv MIRLIB "/home/teuben/miriad/redo/miriad/build_new/lib"
> setenv MIRINC "/home/teuben/miriad/redo/miriad/build_new/include/miriad-f"
> setenv MIRDOC "/home/teuben/miriad/redo/miriad/build_new/share/miriad/doc"

< setenv PGPLOT_DIR $MIR/build_new/libexec
< setenv PGPLOT_FONT $MIR/build_new/share/pgplot-miriad-remix/grfont.dat
< setenv PGPLOT_RGB $MIR/build_new/share/pgplot-miriad-remix/rgb.txt
<
< setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH $MIRLIB

Something simular for the automiriad.sh file. Note this is for Linux. Mac doesn't use LD_LIBRARY_PATH but DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH (untested)

  • a CARMA memo about various techniques (using MIRIAD) to determine velocity fields will be available in draft form
