You will need to have CASA in your environment, the follow commands get your started on installing ADMIT (use USER = anonymous to get a read-only version, developers should know there VERSION)

  cvs -d :pserver:$USER@cvs.astro.umd.edu:/home/cvsroot checkout admit
  cd admit
  make config
  source admit_start.csh

This will define the $ADMIT environment variable.

The command

  admit

will remind you that ADMIT has been installed.

Examples

Using AStute is still a running target. In its full glory you currently need CASA, MIRIAD, NEMO and another independent python with astropy and a few other mostly common friends installed. Check out the README files in astute/data, and the CHANGES file in astute for relevant information.

N253

To get started on the example 8 fits files from N253, place them in $ASTUTE/rawdata/n253 from [1]. On the UMD astro cluster you can cheat and provide a symlink:

   cd $ASTUTE/rawdata
   ln -s /local/ftp/pub/carma/data/astute/n253
