Name

snapmerge - merge N-body snapshots together

Synopsis

snapmerge [parameter=value]

Description

snapmerge works much like snapadd, except it merges all data (currently only masses and phasespace coordinates) from all times in one snapshot.

Parameters

The following parameters are recognized in order; they may be given in any order if the keyword is also given. Use --help to confirm this man page is up to date.
in=
Input file, must be in snapshot format [no default].
out=
output file name, will be in snapshot format [no default].
nbody=
Size of one (or more) snapshot(s) []
nsnap=
Number of

pieces to cut a snapshot into

Bugs

Since get_snap(3NEMO) needs nearly twice the amount of memory to hold a snapshot, snapmerge tends to run out of memory quickly.
