Name

mksphere - construct an arbitrary spherical mass distribution

Synopsis

mksphere out= nbody= [parameter=value]

Description

mksphere creates a spherical mass distribution consistent with a user supplied density profile.

Parameters

The following parameters are recognized in order; they may be given in any order if the keyword is also given. Use --help to confirm this man page is up to date.
out=
Output file name, in standard snapshot(5NEMO) format. No default.
nbody=
Number of particles, no default.
radii=
Radii in sphere. Must be given in ascending order, but can be any nemoinp(3NEMO) expression, e.g. 0:10:0.1.
density=
Associated densities at given radii. If fewer densities are given than radii, the last entered density will repeat.
alpha=
If given, rho=radius^{-alpha} power law [Default: none]
seed=
Seed for the random number generator. [Default: 0]
zerocm=
Center the snapshot after creation? [Default: t]
rmin=
minimum radius, if to override from radii. Default first radius.
rmax=
maximum radius, if to override from radii. Default last radius.
headline=
Verbiage for output. Default none.
