maxdim - Report all known MAXDIM related parameters, and test memory usage
MAXDIM reports a number of MAXDIM related parameters that Fortran
and C programs in Miriad use and limit memory usage.
Sometimes an obscure message (e.g. Hash table overflow) actually
means the MAXBUF parameter needs to be increased.
By specifiying a cube size (nx,ny,nz) you can easily test your
memory and behavior of MIRIAD programs.
A useful test to exhaust your memory is:
maxdim nx=100 ny=100 nz=100 n=100
X dimension of a cube to be allocated
Y dimension of a cube to be allocated
Z dimension of a cube to be allocated
Number of XYZ cubes that are to be allocated. There is room
for up to 128
Data type of the array. Allowed are Real and Double.
