DESCRIPTION

CORSET is a MIRIAD task to model correlator setups. It takes as input, an observing frequency and IF and then searches spectral line files for all spectral lines that are in IF bandpass. The positions of the lines in spectral windows and channel numbers and printed and plotted.

PARAMETERS

in
The name of the spectral line file. Up to 5 input files are permitted. Available files are: $MIRCAT/lovas.3mm, $MIRCAT/lovas.1mm and $MIRCAT/recom.lis. The default is $MIRCAT/lovas.3mm.
freq
The rest frequency of the line in GHz. The default 110.0 GHz. CARMA 10 and 6-m antennas have 85-116 and 215-270 GHz receivers. 3.5-m antennas have SSB 26-36 GHz and 85-115 GHz receivers
iffreq
The intermediate frequency in MHz. The default 1500.0 MHz. This is the frequency in the 1000-9000 MHz IF at which the line rest frequency will appear. A negative value indictes that the line should appear in the lower sideband of the first LO. The IF band is 1-9 GHz at 3 mm and 1-4.5 GHz at 1 mm.
vlsr
Vlsr of the source in km/s. The default 0 km/s.
device
The device used for plotting. See the User's Manual for details on how to specify the PGPLOT device.
log
The output log file. The default is the terminal.
coropt
This keyword identifies the correlator option and is:
  0: for crosscorrelation;
  1: for autocorrelation;
If this keyword is not present, cross correlation is assumed.
corf
Correlator IF frequencies in MHz. Only 4 bands can be plotted at one time. Default=2000,4000,6000,8000 The IF band is 1-9 GHz at 3 mm and 1-4.5 GHz at 1 mm.
corbw
CARMA has 8 bands, yielding a maximum bandwidth of 4GHz per sideband. Each band may be configured in one of the following bandwidths: Bandwidth N_chan Chan.width dV[3mm] Vtot[3mm] dV[1mm] Vtot[1mm] (MHz) (per sideband) (MHz) (km/s) (km/s) (km/s) (km/s) 500 129 3.88 12 1500 3.9 500 250 193 1.30 3.9 750 1.3 250 125 289 0.433 1.3 375 0.43 125 62 385 0.161 0.49 188 0.16 62.5 31 385 0.081 0.24 93.8 0.081 31.2 8 385 0.021 0.061 23.4 0.020 7.81 2 385 0.0052 0.015 5.86 0.005 1.95 An analog filter attenuates the edge channels of the 62-MHz band. An overlap of about 6 channels is recommended to cover a single line. The 3.5-meter antennas use a separate correlator with 8 GHz bandwidth, and 16 500 MHz bands; each of these has 15 channels of 31.25 MHz.
birdie
Number of birdies followed by a list of the birdie frequencies in MHz. Up to 20 birdies are allowed. The default is 0 birdies.
