The Orion Bar's photodissociation region: the atomic/molecular transition zone is traced by the 3.3 micron Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon emission (Blue), the hot molecular gas (few 1000~K) is traced by the 2.12 micron H2 v=1-0 S(1) vibrational emission (Green) and the warm molecular gas (~ 100 K) is traced by the 12CO J = 1-0 emission. The Trapezium cluster, which provides the bulk of the dissociating UV photon flux, lies to the northwest. The (0,0) position is at the location of Ori theta^2 A (R.A. = 05 32 55.3, Dec.\ = -05 26 50.5).
