LMA Supported Software

LMA

In a very rough order of the amount of support we give, we maintain the following packages:

MIRIAD, and within it PGPLOT, WIP, and CHECKER
- add this to your .cshrc file to load the LMA environment
AIPS++ and in particular AipsView. For technical reasons currently also TCL/TK and PGPLOT are separately maintained within AIPS++. (alias: aips++). We also keep a local copy of the AIPS++ documentation tree on which the local search-engine is operative:
NEMO, and within it TIPSY and STARLAB. (alias: nemo)
saoimage
saord (alias: saord) , with the experimental ds9 program.
karma (alias: karma).
specx (alias: specx)
LinkWinds (alias: lw)
COMB (alias: /local/bin/comb, see Marc Pound)
GIPSY (alias: gipsy)
CLOUDY
GILDAS (alias: gildas)
ROOT (alias: root)
ZODIAC (see Stuart Vogel or Sylvain Veilleux).

Being at the University of Maryland you have access to a large amount of software, some of which you can even borrow to take home to your PC (as well as hardware).
